Ingredients
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1/2 white onion, finely diced
- 2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
- 1–2 serrano or jalapeño chiles, minced
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
- Salt to taste
Steps
- Halve and pit the avocados, then scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Mash to your preferred texture — chunky is traditional, smooth is fine too.
- Fold in the onion, tomato, chile, and cilantro.
- Add lime juice and salt, taste, and adjust.
- Serve immediately with fresh tortilla chips — guacamole browns fast, so make it close to serving time.
